The evening turned clear and cold. The long sunsets are now behind us, and darkness settles as early as 7 p.m. The aurora forecast showed high KP values, so we set off toward Hällesåker outside Lindome, by the lake Stora Ingsjön.
Once there, we parked and set up the tripod and camera. The sky unfolded into a magical display – nature, the mountains, the lake, and finally a faint streak of Aurora that grew stronger for a short while.
After just a few minutes the show was over, but the feeling of what we witnessed will stay much longer. A meeting between the stillness of the lake and the fleeting beauty of the northern lights.
